How to Remove Background Noise in DaVinci Resolve

Your DaVinci Resolve timeline audio has background noise, HVAC hum, or ambient room sound that needs to be cleaned before export.

DaVinci Resolve has two main noise removal tools: the built-in Noise Reduction effect (free, all versions) and Voice Isolation (Resolve 18.1+, free). **Method 1 — Noise Reduction effect (recommended for most cases):** 1. Click the Fairlight tab (music note icon in the bottom toolbar) 2. Select the audio clip or track you want to process 3. Open the Effects Library panel → search 'Noise Reduction' 4. Drag the Noise Reduction effect onto the clip or track header 5.
