How to Enhance Audio from a Security Camera

You have a security camera recording with important audio content that's too noisy, compressed, or muffled to understand clearly.

Security cameras prioritize continuous recording over audio quality. The microphones are small, omnidirectional electret capsules with very limited frequency response. Compare the result to the original. **Realistic limits:** If speech is below the noise floor of the recording, enhancement cannot recover it. If the recording was at 8kHz sample rate, no processing can create frequency content above 4kHz that wasn't there.
